Once your ArcGIS Video Server site has been created, you must install ArcGIS Web Adaptor and register it with ArcGIS Video Server.
ArcGIS Web Adaptor provides a connection between the ArcGIS Enterprise web server and your ArcGIS Video Server site. It allows you to specify the port, address, and authentication settings for incoming requests.
ArcGIS Web Adaptor for ArcGIS Video Server must be configured to use port 443 instead of port 80. Configuring ArcGIS Web Adaptor to use port 443 means you must bind the appropriate certificate to the port either through IIS, your web server, or a reverse proxy server.
The setup steps forArcGIS Web Adaptor can differ depending on the type of web server (IIS, Java on Windows, or Java on Linux) on which it's being installed.
- See Use ArcGIS Web Adaptor if you're unfamiliar with the ArcGIS Web Adaptor software component.
- Install and configure ArcGIS Web Adaptor for IIS or Java (Windows).
- Specify the URL format: videoserver.domain.com:21443.
Note:
ArcGIS Video Server uses ports 21080 and 21443 instead of port 6443.
Once ArcGIS Web Adaptor is installed and configured with your ArcGIS Video Server site, federate the site with your portal .
