Available with Data Interoperability license.
The ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension provides a platform for sharing Spatial ETL (extract, transform, load) tools as web tools to ArcGIS Server. The extension can be used to share Spatial ETL tools authored using ArcGIS Pro to both federated and stand-alone ArcGIS Server sites.
The ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension must be installed on each machine in your ArcGIS Server site that will host web tools. See the ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension installation guide for more information.
Web tools hosted on ArcGIS Server can be used in client applications, including Map Viewer and ArcGIS Pro; used in custom apps; or run as part of a Python script tool.
You can create Spatial ETL tools in ArcGIS Pro using a no-code integration approach with the ArcGIS Data Interoperability extension. For more information, refer to the ArcGIS Pro documentation.
What’s included with the ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension
The ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension includes the following.
Feature Manipulation Engine
The ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension uses Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) technology from Safe Software. To share Spatial ETL tools authored using ArcGIS Pro as web tools to ArcGIS Server, both must use the same version of FME. See the ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension system requirements for a list of the versions of FME included with each version of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Server.
The ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension supports the same formats as ArcGIS Pro as long as they both use the same version of FME. For a complete list of supported formats, see Supported formats with the Data Interoperability extension.
Feature Manipulation desktop applications
The ArcGIS Data Interoperability server extension installation includes the following data interoperability desktop applications:
- Workbench
- Data Inspector
- Quick Translator
